§ 05Fees
How our fees work
Fees depend on the kind of work, its complexity and how long it takes, so we quote each matter in writing after the first meeting. No work starts and nothing is charged until you agree.
Under the Lawyers Council of Thailand's conduct rules we don't advertise litigation fees. You'll receive a written quote for your matter.
01
Fixed fee
One price for clearly defined work
Suits: Contract reviews, company registration, wills
02
Staged fee
The work is split into stages, each with its own fee and deliverables
Suits: Cases with several stages
03
Hourly
Charged by time actually spent, with a monthly time report
Suits: Advice where the scope isn't yet clear
04
Monthly retainer
A monthly fee for agreed ongoing advice
Suits: Businesses that want a regular legal adviser
Every written quote sets out
- The scope — and what is not included
- The fee structure and when payments fall due
- An estimate of other likely costs
- The responsible lawyer and how to reach them
- Cancellation terms and return of documents
Costs that are not our fee
- Court fees and service of process
- Government fees, e.g. Land Office or business registration
- Translation and certification
- Travel outside Bangkok, if needed
